Arkista's Ring
I have to admit, when I turned on this game and started playing it I didn't expect much. The title screen had wonderful music, but when the real adventure came on I took a look a the four-pixel overhead graphics and shook my head in disgust. "Oh no," I thought, "with a total of 150 stages this is one of those epic action/adventure games." But after playing for five minutes I was hooked. I was on level 30 and I would have continued playing until I had beat the game if I hadn't had needed to turn off my NES to record Ronin Warriors. While I game is quite long, it shouldn't be very hard for a seasoned video game player. You generally advance a level every minute as you fight monsters looking for the magical key and door to take you to the next level. While I have no idea what Arkista's Ring is yet, other than an item in the game, I'm delighted to play this game over and over. I wish I could put my control down to eat... to sleep... to go to the bathroom...
