Bandai Golf: Challenge Pebble Beach

This isn't a particularly good golf game. Not that it's totally terrible, but all the other Golf games for the NES are better. I like Golf better and, of course, Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf rocks the world. Bandai just has a whole slew of problems, weak graphics and sound, an annoying course layout and hitting meter, and a lack of an ending. On the plus side, players can adjust their handicap, but that's preety much the only pro. The worst feature of the game is the attempt at auto-direction and club selection. The CPU recommended a 9 Iron when I was on the fairway 18 yards away from the green, and on another course auto-aimed me at the water because the green was a straight line across the water... but by 440 yards.

The Verdict: Tried to sink a hole-in-one from 100 yards and hit the water.

I recommend: don't even bother.
