Baseball Stars
Yawn! Another baseball game. I swear this is the most overused genre on the NES. Baseball Stars has great music and good graphics, which is unusual for a NES baseball game. But the pitching control needs major help; you barely have any control of the ball once it leaves the pitcher's fingers, and the knucleball never works. You will also find it hard to both score and on the opposite end, strike your oppenents. Like a few baseball games, Stars allows you to edit teams and create your own, but this one's kinda weak. Interestingly enough, the graphics programmers really spent a lot of time rending the players' crotches. Maybe had they used their time more wisely they would have a better game.
The Verdict: SNK makes a sinker, or at most barely stays afloat.
I recommend: Do what you will here; you can go either way and miss nothing.
