Battleship

"You sunk my battleship!!!" Who could forget the immortal words of Milton Bradley's famous board game. While board game to video game translation, for the most part astoundingly suck Battleship proves quite the exception. Unfortunately, the games availablilty holds low due to its late release in the NES lifespan. The game plays like the game (awkward sentence, ain't it?) Although Battleship provides worlds like a Mario game that increase with difficulty. To even the odds against tough computer AI, you get your basic type of single missile and also three other types of missiles that can hit multiple times. These help you find enemy ships easier than just randomly firing. What a shame that the computer also possesses these weapons of semi-mass destruction. The level of detail of the ships is quite amazing, although the animation sequences of firing get really tired and repetitive quickly.

The Verdict: Nice work if you can get it...

I recommend: And if you can get it...
