Beetlejuice
What a mixed bag. It seems Beetlejuice wanted to be an action game, but then puzzles were thrown it in, and it became a hybrid that didn't do well at either genre. One of my friends is the biggest BJ ever; she has a weird obsession with Charles and actually bought this game although she didn't have a NES. I gave her one for her birthday; she hugged me, which made me very happy. Sadly, her joy cannot transmute Beetlejuice into a good NES game. The first sign it's not very good is the company that released it, LJN, which only released one good game, Alien3. Good graphics you ask? Um, no. Bad The Simpsons type graphics but more cartoony. Dull sounds and the bio-exorcist has God-awful jump compenstation. he leaps wayyyyyyy too far and it's nearly impossible to land accurately. Even with the full walkthrough presented in Nintendo Games Secrets 3 I doubt you'll see the end of this game.
