Why do so many games take place in the year X? When is this exactly is this year? Here is a collection of all the games that take place in the year X. I know there are more, so if you send me a game name I will give you credit for it. I'm really amused by games that say 19XX like Double Dragon 2. They're running out of time, especially now that it's 1999. Bionic Commando takes place in 201X, but at the end writes 2010, 8, 2. NICE WORK!
